Noah, a 30 something person, is in a state of anxiety and confusion when their estranged friend Esther enters the room. Despite the hurt between them, they attempt reconciliation in their final moments together. As Esther and Noah talk, Noah grapples with the fact they have died and begin to accept the impending, permanent departure their burial will mean and that Esther is there as their shomeret, a funeral guardian, as per the Jewish bereavement ritual, Shemira.

Dora, a late 30 Jewish Brazilian Photographer with a combo of Peter Pan syndrome and mid-life crisis, and Deniz, an up an coming German-Turkish actor in his mid-20s with a broken heart and Torschlusspanik, are overwhelmed by the effects of Berlin’s housing crisis. After a series of random encounters in apartment viewings, they struck a connection amid their loneliness and already crumbly lives. Could this encounter be the solution to their problems?
